Our Epic Class Trip to… Otterndorf!!!! On Monday, 12:30 pm, we finally, finally arrived at the train station “Otterndorf”. The taxi came and took over our luggage. After that, we walked to the youth hostel. We qte dinner and then got ready to sleep. On Tuesday, we ate breakfast and then we drove to a Natureum with a big bus. In the Naturem we followed a person, Mr. Lillie, through the woods. We first have gone into a giant teepee when Mr. Lillie told us about the Stone Age. We played a game, and then we followed him to the Elbe, to a boat that had a sad story. After that, we saw some goats too. We got to a ditch where all of us had a turn to jump over the ditch with a metal stick. Then we ate campfire twists. After we ate it, we had gone to a pond where we caught insects and learned about them. We got to a building, where we saw Schützenfische and touched a snake. Then we went to a shop and bought souvenirs. It was real fun! We got back on the bus and drove to the youth hostel. Mrs. Clarke had the (brilliant) idea to go to the beach. We went to the beach and into the water (with boots). It was cold out there, but we liked it. Then we went to the youth hostel because we wanted to eat! On Wednesday, we drove to Cuxhaven with a bus. We were allowed to go strolling in groups of three (2 hours!!!). We did a town quiz after that, which lead us to the harbor and all of us had three!!!! scoops of ice cream. We got to Otterndorf by boat, which was very cool. We could go on deck and look at the waves. Then we walked to the youth hostel! After dinner a woman came to tell us about bats. Did you know bats can’t see so well? When it was dark, we searched for bats with special monitors, and we found some! Afterwards we were so tired, that we fell into bed straight away. On Thursday, we did nothing before lunch. The girls played “Voice Kids” and the boys played cards. In the afternoon, we met a mud flats leader, and she told us about mud flats. We went to the mud flats, and we learned about worms. We rubbed mud in our faces, because it is good for the skin. We were allowed to go into the dangerous mud too! (The mud that you can sink in) and then had a BBQ. As a surprise we had sweets, and we were told who has won prizes, like the best listener. On Friday, we walked to the train station and jumped on the train. In Hamburg, we needed to wait very long for the train, because it was broken. But finally we sat down in the train, and waited, till we got home.
